When you're paying out big money for a brand new CCTV setup, some added peace of mind can go a long way. Although we constantly strive to provide faultless products, with something as complex as a CCTV kit, it's inevitable that now and again things can happen that are out of our control. For example, a faulty motherboard, broken sensor or even a frayed wire will only become apparent once a CCTV kit has been set up, which is often too late, especially if you've already gone to the trouble of installing the cameras and cables.

To help put your mind at ease, we offer a CCTV kit pre delivery inspection that comes with a thorough 6 point system check to ensure everything runs smoothly right from the box. Our expert engineers will test all the key components of your CCTV kit and make sure they're in perfect working order before shipping, so you can get straight down to installing it without any issues. And, if we do find a fault, then we'll swap the item for a new one and start the 6 point inspection again.

How does it work…

When you add a new CCTV kit to basket, you'll find this service listed below it, just tick to add it to your order.

We'll then pick your purchased CCTV and take it straight to our special testing area.

The guys in the tech team will then carry out the 6 point CCTV inspection, they've been inspecting CCTV for over 10 years now, so rest assured your CCTV is in good hands.

Your CCTV kit will then be packaged up securely and sent off to you, so you can be sure it's all working fine first time around.

The in's and out's of our 6 point inspection…

Ports Check
We check all the different ports on the DVR, such as USB, VGA, Ethernet and BNC ports and power connections. Making sure they all work as they should.

Cable Check
We do a full visual check, before testing each and every connector and power supply.

Test Cameras
We soak test each camera for a period of 24 hours to ensure the weatherproof casing is effective. We'll also make sure that each camera can establish a visible image in all light conditions, including nightvision.

Test Recording
We'll record an hours' worth of footage from each camera and check each recording for any audio or visual issues. Your hard drive will then be wiped clean before shipping.

Test Remote control (if applicable)
If your CCTV kit comes with a remote control, then we'll put it through its paces to make sure it works as intended.

Check all additional accessories
If you've purchased any additional cameras or cables alongside you CCTV kit, then we'll test them to make sure they're compatible with your chosen system.
